It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita McInerney of Montpelier, Vermont, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Rita McInerney to show support.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donat Morissette and Josephine Morissette (Fontaine); her husband James McInerney; her siblings, Romeo Morissette, Armand Morissette and Annette McHugh; and her siblings-in-law, Bertha Morissette, Rita Morissette, Cecile Morissette and Thomas McHugh.
She is survived by: her brother George Morissette of Virginia Beach, VA; and her friend Carol Tilley. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (16 Barre St, Montpelier, VT 05602). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Berlin Corners Cemetery.
