He is survived by: his spouse Jan Sandman; his daughter Lexi Sandman-Pitonyak; his grandson Adam; and his siblings, David Pitonyak, Michael Pitonyak, Marsha Charron and Jane Martineau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
