He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Chaffee and Mildred Chaffee (Beardsley); his former wife Marilyn Rae Towne; his daughters, Cheryl Camley and Nancy Bradshaw; his siblings, Raymond Chaffee (Barbara), Ethel Cookson (Charlie), Barbara Bowen (Harold), Doris Stancliffe (Lawrence), Ramona Bouchard (Roland) and Agnes Stancliffe (Durrell); his son-in-law Earle A. Demar, Sr.; and his grandson Earle Demar, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Linda Demar (Earle A. Sr.) of Orlando, Wade Chaffee Jr. (Gretchen Burmiester) of Hyde Park, Cindy Chaffee of Hyde Park, Scott, Kathy Chaffee of Morrisville, Lori, Fred Hart of Eden and Lisa Chaffee (Christian Borg) of Morrisville; his fiancée Diana Bettis of Morrisville; his son-in-law Raymond Bradshaw; and his sister Eleanor Sweeney. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
