Roger Alan Sturtevant Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Alan Sturtevant of New Haven, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Sturtevant and Erma Sturtevant (Thompson); his brothers, Clarence "Bud" Sturtevant (Yvette) and Francis Sturtevant (Margaret); his nephew Bruce Sturtevant; and his grandson Jeremy Sturtevant.
He is survived by: his significant other Shirley Goulet; his son Jeffrey Sturtevant (Allison) of Bristol; his grandchildren, Jacob (Faith), Abigail and Jaret; his child Todd Sturtevant (Laura) of East Middlebury; his grandchildren, Jessica, Lane and Justus; his child Douglas Sturtevant (Lisa) of Hinesburg; his granddaughter Kayla; his stepgrandchildren, Lucy and Nathaniel; his child Kimberlee Gordon (Ed) of Hinesburg; his grandchildren, Liliane, Benjamin and Nicholas; his child Stephanie Sturtevant (Amanda) of Essex Junction; and his sisters, Joyce Abare (Wayne) of Florida, Sandra Greeno (Edgar) of Brandon and Carole Merritt (David) of Tennessee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brown McClay Funeral Home (Bristol, VT). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Haven Congregational Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Roger to the New Haven Evergreen Cemetery Association or the American Diabetes Association.
