With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Russel Royer of Newport, Vermont, who passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John Russel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Royer and Beverly Royer. He is survived by: his children, Evan and Mickayla; the mother of his children Corinne Clowes; his daughter Juliana Royer; his stepchildren, Ryan and Evan Brewster; his brother Carl Royer (Melissa); and also Denise Royer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home (4670 Darling Hill Rd, Newport, VT 05855).
In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a non-profit fund in John's honor to support music education.
