He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Brainard and Alice Brainard (Wood); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Mabel Perkins; his siblings, Phyllis Buchanan (Hugh), Thelma Bly (Ed), Jeannette Goss (Wayne), Carlton Brainard Jr. (Bill) and Curtis Brainard (Betty); and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Perkins and Wayne Bowen.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Perkins; his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Brainard of Derby, VT; his children, Dawn Brainard (Tim Sykes) of Holland, VT, Ricky Brainard (Donna) of Derby, VT, Pam Brainard (Dennis Percy) of Derby, VT and Lindsay Brainard (Nikole) of Derby, VT; his grandchild Merranda Price; his children, Heather Moulton (Adam), Tarin Price Pratte (Derek), Randi Lee Morse (Scott), Jeremy Brainard (Jen), Josh Brainard (Samm), Jordon Brainard (Katie), Maya Brainard and Chase Brainard (Jewel Rendfrey); his great grandchildren, Dawson, Connor, Zoe, Jonathan, Danyka, Quinn, Baylor, Averi, Austin, Xander, Jacob and Jase; his siblings-in-law, Janice Bowen of West Charleston, VT, Margaret Perkins of Island Pond, VT and Blaine Perkins (Norma) of West Charleston, VT; and his pets, Murray and Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 47 Landing St, Newport, VT 05855.
