He is survived by: his wife Gayle MacDonald of Danville; his children, Robert, Kristen Briggs of Littleton, NH, Kimberly and Jon Augeri of Walden; his grandchildren, Caleb, Gracie Villareal, Taylor and Avery Weir; his siblings, John MacDonald (Roxanne) of East Burke and Ellen MacDonald of Danville; his niece Marci (Glenn Bostic); and his nephew Ryan MacDonald.

In lieu of flowers the family recommends a shot of Doctors in Stephen's honor.
