It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Gene Dunbar Sr. of Northfield, Vermont, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald L. Dunbar Sr. and Agnes Dunbar (Hoffman); and his wife Dolores L. McQueen. He is survived by: his children, Bernard Dunbar Jr. (Saranya), Brian Dunbar (Monica), Lorry Needham (Tim) and Shelley Twitchell (Scott); and his sisters, Lorraine, Sheila, Jane and Valerie. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fayston Town Hall (866 N Fayston Rd, Moretown, VT 05660).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mayo Nursing Home at 71 Richardson St., Northfield, VT 05663, in Memory of Bernard.
