He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Martin Garthaffner and Agnes Rose Garthaffner (Cetner); and his siblings, Mary Rita Adams, Gerard and Peter Garthaffner.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Garthaffner (Giard) of Orwell; his children, Melissa Harvey (Lynn) of Clevland, NY., Shelley Lewis (Chris) of Shoreham and Todd Garthaffner (Monica) of Addison; and his brothers, Martin Garthaffner (Linda) of Virginia and William Garthaffner of New York. He is also survived by Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
