Barbara Searles Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 10, 2026, at the age of 90, Barbara Searles of Peru, Vermont passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Searles to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Kinney and Mary Kinney (Cole); and her daughter Stacey Giroux. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Searles Jr. of Peru; her children, William Hathaway, Jr. of Pownal, Kim Lynch of Rutland, Kurt Hathaway of Londonderry and Gordon Searles III of Peru; and her sisters, Corrine Hoyt of Lewisburg and Janice Emrich of New Berlin. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
