It is with sadness that the passing of Richard E. Hanson Jr. (Poultney, Vermont) is shared. Richard, born on August 10, 1941, passed away on June 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Hanson Sr. and Margery Hanson (Day); and his siblings, Peter Hanson and Nancy Stevenson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hanson (Jetto) of Poultney; his children, Jennifer and Eric (Lina); his grandchildren, Alexander (Victoria), Morgan and Leya; his sister Elizabeth Mellen (Allen); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce, Joe Szabo of Poultney and Ellen. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foley Cancer Center of RRMC, Rutland, Vermont and to VNA and Hospice of the Southwest Region.
