He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Kenneth Hornung and Hazel Emily Ruedy Hornung; and his brother-in-law Robert Spain. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ann Spain (Jini) of Shelburne Vt; his daughter Kimberly Hornung-Marcy; his son-in-law Theodore Marcy of Williston Vt; his grandchildren, Ariel (Kristina Marcy) and Jordan Marcy; his daughter Leslie; his son-in-law Timothy Wallstrom of Los Alamos, NM; his granddaughters, Sarah, Rachel and Miriam Wallstrom; his son Gerald Kenneth Hornung III (Rene Juza) of Boise, ID; and his granddaughter Heather Hornung Smith (Heyden Smith).
