He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Gordon LaBounty and Hazel LaBounty (Tatro); his wife Sandra Trombley; his children, Lora Churchill (Ray) and Matthew LaBounty; his grandchildren, Amy Ferris (Michael), Paul Flint, Tina Churchill (Bruce Wilson), Erlé LaBounty (Eliza) and Danae Rakotz (Alex); his great grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Joseph Ferris, Samantha Flint, Quentin Wilson and Wren Rakotz; his great great grandchildren, Isabelle and Olivia Ferris; his sisters-in-law, Bernice Brisson (Don) and Lexie Rye; his stepsons, Thomas, David and Rusty Trombley; his former life partner Lois; his brother-in-law Arthur Rye; and his granddaughter Brenda Flint.

Contributions in his memory can be made to the Randolph Village Fire Department or The Last Mile Ride.
