He was predeceased by: his parents, Bjarne Sr. Skjetne and Anna Skjetne (Anderson); and his sisters, Mildred Biro (Stephen), Shirley Hall (Jesse), Evelyn Komlo (Stephen), Myrtle O'Day (William) and Carolyn Thibault (Norman).
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Illinksi; his children, Debra Kovalchuk (Alexander) of Proctor, Laurie Gallus (Gary) of Proctor and Bjarne Skjetne III (Danielle) of Norwich; his sister Ethel Pitaniello (Thomas) of Florida; his grandchildren, Justin Gallus of Raleigh, NC, Kristi Pelkey (Chittenden) and Gary Pelkey Jr. (Amanda) of Proctor; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Carter, Waylen and Beckett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
