With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ellanora Thompson of Rutland, Vermont, whose life came to an end on July 10, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Burke and Beatrice Burke Sr. (LaFond); her husband Earle Thompson; and her siblings, Matthew Burke Jr. and Claire Sullivan (Burke).
She is survived by: her sister Charleen Godleski (Burke) of Rutland; her children, Joseph Thompson (Jerrie) of Clarendon, Dagyne Canney (John) of Malta, NY, ZoeAnne Merrill (Scott) of Vero Beach, FL and Monique Thompson (Oliver John) of Berkeley, CA; her grandchildren, Melissa, John, Will, Ella, Simone and Katya; and her great grandchild Callan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Christ the King Church (66 S Main St, Rutland, VT 05701).
