He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hier and Jean Hier (Loomis); and his brother Richard S. Hier. He is survived by: his daughter Mallory Stunell; and his brother Chris Hier. He is also survived by several aunts' nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clifford Funeral Home (2 Washington St, Rutland, VT 05701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (134 Convent Ave, Rutland, VT 05701).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society at 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
