He is survived by: his wife Samantha Simpson (Johnson); his son Finn Darren James Simpson; his stepchildren, Courtney Gauge Lee, Cali Hughes, Harper Hughes and Dean Hughes; his mother Ruth Simpson; his stepfather Stephen McCrabbe; and his sisters, Erin Simpson and Eden McCrabbe.
