With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard A. Gonyea (Rutland, Vermont), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Richard leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gonyea and Alice Gonyea. He is survived by: his sisters, Delia Singleton of Stuart, FL and Louise Fitzsimmons (James) of South Burlington; and his sister-in-law Marie Gonyea of Southington, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
