He was predeceased by: his parents, Cassius Smith and Hazel Smith (Scribner) of Brandon, Vt.; his sister Annie Griffin; and his children, Benard and Linda Jean.
He is survived by: his son Roland E. (Skip); and his wife Yvonne Smith (Bonnie). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
