He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Stewart and Mary Frances Dumas (Pellerin); his wife Susan F. Corey of Rutland; his children, Jennifer Comar (Ryan) of Danby, Sara Fisher (Daniel) and Alex Dumas of Pittsford; his granddaughter Kelsey Halligan; his sister-in-law Kathleen Dumas of Brattleboro; his niece Elizabeth "Betsy" Pitts (Elijah); his great-niece Aubrey Pitts; his cousins, Bonnie Hurley, Jeffrey Brookman and Denis Brookman; his stepsons, Peter Babcock (Sara) of Greensboro, NC, Gregory Babcock (Heather) of Pittsford and Christopher Babcock of Greensboro, NC.; and his sister Susan Dumas.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Aldous Funeral Home (44 N Main St, Rutland, VT 05701).
