With sadness, we share the passing of Ross C. Richard Jr. of Saint Albans, Vermont. Ross, born on February 29, 1960, passed away on October 6, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ross C. Richard Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross C. Richard Sr. and Katherine Richard (McSweeney); his parents-in-law, Gilbert Bessette and Shirley Richardson; his siblings, Kevin Richard, Kathleen Farnsworth, Robin Foy and Jean Richard; and his niece Tasha Maring.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Richard (Bessette); his children, Ross C. Richard III (Jenna), Christopher Richard and Rebecca Chaplin (Leo); his grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Danika, Serenity, Chloe, Keaton, Harmony, Preston, Charlotte, Hazel, Logan, Peyton, Danasiah and Mila; his siblings, Star Trayah and Reed Richard (Heather); and his brother-in-law Beaver Farnsworth. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax Chapel (1176 Main St, Fairfax, VT 05454).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Josh Pallotta Fund of Colchester, Vermont, in honor of Staff Sergeant Ross C. Richard II, to support veterans and military families.
