The memory of Ruth M. Sweeney (Saint Albans, Vermont), who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Henry and Marjorie Elizabeth Kenneson (Nelson); and her sister Rose Leona. She is survived by: her great grandchild Georgia Plain Baptist Church; her husband Vincent Stannard Sweeney; her children, Colleen Sweeney Abrams (James), Darleen Ann Williams (John), Eileen Joan Angeli (John), Wayne Nelson Sweeney (Mary) and Kathleen Jean Sweeney (Paul Capcara); her grandchildren, Jason Abrams (Jesse), Jeffrey Abrams (Natalie Okun), Nathan Williams, Jordan Williams (Bethany), Seth Williams (Krystal), Bryanne Ostoyich, Ryan Ostoyich (Jessica), Jessica Angeli Keith (Dan), Carolann Sweeney, Josiah Sweeney, Charles Sweeney, Abigail Sweeney DeVries (Nathaniel) and Everissa Sweeney; and her great grandchildren, Azalea, Cypress Abrams, Magnolia Okun Abrams, Matthias, Hannah Williams, Dominic, Dylan Williams, Josiah, Levi Keith and Asher DeVries.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Georgia Plain Baptist Church (1493 Stone Bridge Rd, Milton, VT 05468). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
