He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Newman and Rebecca Newman; his wife Diane Newman; and his siblings, Carl Newman and Gladys Scott.

He is survived by: his children, Perry Newman (Janet), Carla Ruggiero (Nick), Kim Bushey (Bruce) and Paul Newman (Sherry). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
