With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alison Etherton of Shelburne, Vermont, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alison may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alison touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Benson Mann (Frederic Sturgis Mann) and Braintree (Weston). She is survived by: her husband Bud Etherton of Shelburne; her son Kirk Etherton (Bud); her daughter-in-law Lucy Holdstedt of Somerville; her daughter Laura Etherton; her son-in-law Adam Marx of Portland; and her sisters, Heidi Mann of Cambridge and Wendy Roberts (Charles Eggleston). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
