He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra; his daughter Heather; his parents, William Jr. and Jennie; and his siblings, Robert (Joyce), Ronald and Lorraine.

He is survived by: his son John (Jennifer); his grandsons, Will Strafach (Lucia), Sam Strafach and William Ravell IV; his brother Kenneth (Virginia); and his siblings-in-law, Marsha Steet (Tom) and Nicholas Basile. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
