We announce the death of Arlene Stanley of Shoreham, Vermont, born in Orwell, Vermont, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Arlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Arlene will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Arlene will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Arlene’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Doane and Heloise Doane (Fortier); and her siblings, William Doane and Carol Gregoire. She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Stanley of Shoreham and Scott Stanley of Shoreham; and her siblings, Robert "Skip" Doane (Calene), Louise Blackmer, Martha Brandt and Virginia Theiser. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews & cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Genevieve Cemetery (859 VT-74, Shoreham, VT 05770).
