With sadness, we share the passing of Joanne Shirley Barbour of Tunbridge, Vermont. Joanne, born on April 13, 1944, passed away on July 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Joanne for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph S. Bissell and Ruby Coral Bissell. She is survived by: her sister Barbara Loyer; her nephew Alexander "Scott" Loyer of Windsor; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Barbour of Windsor, Janet Barbour Bunker of Charlestown, NH, Cathy Barbour Craig of Keeseville, NY and Dennis Barbour of Reading, VT. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Red Door Church (67 S Windsor St, South Royalton, VT 05068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kenya Project, care of Red Door Church, or to a charity of your choice.
