He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Glen and Irene (Titus) Button; siblings: Grace Korzun, Edward, Norman, Richard Button, Mary Jane (Don), Joe (Vera) and John (Starr); siblings-in-law: Leonard Korzun, Virginia, Lucia, Roberta Button, Betsy Button, Nancy Button and Ione Battles; mother of his daughters: Donna Flint; children: Anissa (Mike Morrison), Lorinda (Riley Elliott) and Jennifer Cahoon Chase; stepson: David Cahoon (Julie Cahoon); grandchildren: Victoria (Kyle), Trenton (Alyson), Camden (Syerra), Austin (Zoe), Thatcher (Kylie), d'Artangan, Alexis, Riley and Brennan; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home (300 VT-110, Chelsea, VT 05038). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the United Church of Chelsea (13 N Common, Chelsea, VT 05038).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pete's memory to the Tunbridge Volunteer Fire Department.
