It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Emerson of Wells River, Vermont, born in Newbury, Vermont, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edith Emerson (Bartlett) and Charles "Warren" Emerson; his wife Marilyn Emerson (Powers); his siblings, Lawrence Emerson, Philip Emerson, Russell Emerson and Rachel Emerson; and his son-in-law Rick Benoit.

He is survived by : his children, Carl Emerson of Newbury, VT, Alan Emerson (Linda) of Hinesburg, VT, Neil Emerson (Amy) of South Ryegate, VT and Janice Duvall (Kurt) of Walden, VT; his grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany, Kevin, Richie, Katie, Maggie and Will; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Mia, Gavin, Jackson, Cole, Lennox, Weston, Parker, Anthoni, Mackenna and Ricky; and his sister Phyllis Hayward of Chelsea, VT. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Groton Village Cemetery.
