He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Phillips and Josephine Phillips Sr.; and his in-laws, Howard and Mary O'Brien. He is survived by: his wife Linda Phillips; his children, Tammy Holcomb (Rich) of Wells and Jason (Shelby) of Hampton, NY; his grandchildren, R. J. Holcomb, Marissa Holcomb and Bailey Phillips; his siblings, Joyce Roberts of Fair Haven, VT, Jeanette Wilcox of Castleton, VT and John Phillips of Hydeville, VT; and his brother-in-law Howard R O'Brien of Pownal, VT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Durfee Funeral Home & Cremation Service (119 N Main St, Fair Haven, VT 05743). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St Raphael Catholic Church (21 E Main St, Poultney, VT 05764).
