Stewart M. George Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stewart M. George of White River Junction, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon George and Evelyn (Hatch); and his brother Everett George. He is survived by: his wife Nettie Metcalf of Chelsea, VT; his children, Bill George (Carrie) of Kremmling, CO, Teresa Whitney of Lyme and Barbara Farnsworth (Scott); his grandchildren, Ryan, Sadie, Olivia, Carter, Emma, Gavin, Elizabeth and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Layne and Blake; and his brother Robert A. George of Newport, VT.
In lieu of flowers, Stewart would suggest a donation to the Boston Red Sox to help strengthen their pitching rotation. Alternatively, donations can be made in Stewart's honor to the Thetford Academy Alumni Association.
