It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol McCandless of Wilder, Vermont, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Carol departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carol may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carol leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Batts and Jane Batts; and her brother Jimmy Batts. She is survived by: her sister Amy Batts of Harwichport, MA.; and her former husband Dave McCandless.
