He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Zigmont Sr. and Vera Zigmont (Ezepchick); his wife Eleanor Zigmont (Silver); and his siblings, Joan Jardine and Michael Zigmont.
He is survived by: his son Gerald "Jerry" Zigmont; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Sliker; his granddaughters, Elke Zigmont and Anya Zigmont; and his brother Victor Zigmont.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eastside Cemetery (157 Pease Rd, Woodbridge, CT 06525).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe's name to the Vermont Loon Conservation Project of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies.
