Mary Denise Johnston Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Denise Johnston of Winooski, Vermont, who passed away on December 16, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walt LeFrancois and Marion LeFrancois (LaFond); her sisters, Shelly Helmecke and Donna Gilligan; her brother-in-law Ronnie Gilligan; her niece Julie Gilligan; her son-in-law Steven Liu; her parents-in-law, Red and Jane Johnston; and her brother-in-law Ken Johnston.

She is survived by: her husband Rick; her daughter Michelle; her son-in-law Jeff Harms; her grandsons, Aiden, Owen and Wyatt Harms; her children, Stefanie Johnston of Spencer, MA, Scott Johnston of Winooski and Matt Johnston of Burlington, VT.; her brother-in-law Gary Helmecke; her nieces and nephews, Eric, Megan Helmecke, Abby, Amelia, Dan, Claire Gilligan, Will, Ella, Christina, Brad Richardson, Bryn, Noah and Sadie; and her sisters, Karen (Steve Edgerton), Ginger Johnston and Barbara (Tim Mayer).
