He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, Steven Buchanan (Misty) of Toronto, Kansas and Angela LaFontaine; his siblings, Linna Johnson of Hoquiam and Richard Buchanan; his sisters-in-law, Michelle Howard (Ted) and Nikkie Sicliano; his mother-in-law Pat Arndt; and his grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Wyatt Buchanan (Taylor), Jordan Appling (Chase), Blake Mueller (Nick), Marlena Smith, Kellie Methenia (Luke), Travis Lawson (Hailey), Tyler Karvonen and Seth LaFontaine (Kyla). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
