Erling leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Erling’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Erling will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his sister Inger Christensen. He is survived by: his wife Lydia Olsen; his children, Elena Olsen and Birger Olsen; his daughter-in-law Laurel Olsen; his granddaughter Sylvie Olsen; and his nephews, Steinar and Per Christensen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of Erling's favorite organizations, Ski for Light, whose mission is to enhance the quality of life and independence of visually or mobility-impaired adults through a program of cross-country skiing.
