She was predeceased by: her parents, Laudie V. Kovash and Mildred C. Kovash; her brother Walter Kovash; and her son Nick Smit. She is survived by: her sister Diane Kugler; and her children, Jeff Smit (Michelle) and Kathy Shamrell (Dan). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
