We announce the death of JoAnn King of Battle Ground, Washington, who passed away on September 11, 2026. JoAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. JoAnn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew JoAnn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. JoAnn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Wayne King; her parents, Eva Baird and Herschel Baird; and her sisters, Ina Claire Roof and Nancy Santon.
She is survived by: her children, David (Paulette) of Florida, Nancy Washington (Mike), Randy (Liu) of Maryland and Amy (Scott) of Florida. She is also survived by her adopted family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sugar Grove Church (7875 Kessler-Frederick Rd, Tipp City, OH 45371). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the children's ministry department; Covenant at Sugar Grove Church.
