He was predeceased by: his parents, Ali and Massoumeh. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Ryan (Amy), Dustin and Shawn; his grandchildren, Chase and Penelope; and his siblings, Nooradin (Nasrin), Mahin (late Mahmoud) and Anvar (late Reza).
