He was predeceased by: his wife Yuk Ping Lau; his parents, Lau Yee Tak and Xiaoning Li; and his grandparents, Juncheng Li, Dezhao Jiang, Hanbang Huang and Pinzhong Ou.
He is survived by: his son Kim K. Lau; his grandson Jonathan Brandon Lau; his son David K. Lau (Xiahua Wei); and his sibling's children, John Lau (Queenie Ngai) and Janet Lau (Jason Weng).
