It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol May Smith (Bellingham, Washington), who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dick; her parents, James Clapp and May Clapp; and her brother Ron. She is survived by: her children, Vance Smith (Betsy), Kristi Ellen Smith-Baklund, Mark, James Mitchell Smith (Jim) and Chari Henton; her grandchildren, Tami Kruse (Dave), Jacob Baklund (Kalli), Cameron Henton, Alethea Roach, Max, Danny Schmidt, Adrienne and Meredith Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Ashley Slesk, Zach, Markus Hager, Kyrin, Maris Baklund, Aidan, Porter, Charlie, Henry Roach, Sylvie and Sam Schmidt; her great great grandchildren, Kyler and Cora Slesk; her sister-in-law Carolyn Clapp; and her nephews, Russ and Loren.
To honor Carol's life and legacy, her family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Immanuel Bible Church or Dementia Action Collaborative or Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment Fund.
