It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph James Gibson in Bellingham, Washington, born in Brawley, California, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Gibson (Garrie); and his father-in-law Lyle VanderYacht. He is survived by: his wife Carrie; his sons, Daniel and James; his siblings, Michael Gibson, Patrick Gibson and Jocelyn DePriest; his half-sisters, Robyn and Melanie; his father Robert Gibson; his mother-in-law Peggy VanderYacht; and his pets, Sarah and Max.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Squalicum Yacht Club (Not Bellingham Yacht Club) (2633 S Harbor Loop Dr, Bellingham, WA 98225).
