She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Yates and June Yates (Cook) of Blaine; her husband Jim Vogel; her daughter Valerie Zediker (Shana) of Seattle; her niece Brandi Miller of Denver; her stepchildren, Athena Vogel (Meg) of Dublin, Ireland, Phil Vogel (Angela) of Silver Spring, MD and Jack Vogel (Jennifer) of Chicago; her grandchildren, Henry, Linus, Alice and Ollie; and her sisters, Sharon Mixer (Roy) of Palm Desert, CA. and Sandy Jackson (Steve).
The decade also included serious sailing adventures off the coasts of British Columbia, Slovenia, Croatia, the Greek islands, and even socially distanced sailing during COVID in Turkey in 2021.
