He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Howard Blumer and Nona Alpha Fitzpatrick Blumer; and his wife Cynthia Sue Linebaugh Blumer. He is survived by: his children, Martha Blumer, Laura Balcom (Roger) and Eric Blumer (Karen). He is also survived by three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
For his technical contributions to the architectural field, Maynard was elevated to Fellow of both the Construction Specifications Institute and the American Institute of Architects.
