“I grew up with Gary. Living just down the hill from him starting in 6th grade we became friends. He always had a smile and a joke ready. I’m sad that after high school we lost touch when I joined the Army. We reconnected through a mutual friend on Facebook before he died. I was saddened to learn of his cancer diagnosis. I will miss him and his friendship. When I think back on our youth I have great memories of us playing down in the “sand Pits” behind his house. He will live on in my heart.”
