“My husband and I met John in the mid 2000's at the VFW Post 2995. At that time he and a small but loyal group of supporters were creating a support organization "Troop Support" to provide comfort and a reminder of support back home to our deployed troops. As the program grew well over 20,000 care packages had gone to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The efforts were nationally recognized by the VFW. I will always remember John's commitment to those who serve. We have lost a good one.”
