Sandra leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sandra’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Sandra will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: husband: Melvin G. Watts; parents: Dayle Naomi Dawson and Keldon Gaylord Adams; stepmother: Judith (Chilton) Adams; surrogate mother: Grace Dawson; sister: Judith (Adams) McKay; brother: unnamed brother (deceased); children: two daughters; grandchildren: five grandchildren; great-grandchildren: three great-grandchildren; half-sisters: two half-sisters; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her fervent wish to donate her brain to science was accomplished thanks to coordination with the UCLA Brain Bank. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the University of Washington Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, or the Support Oregon 4-H Foundation Fund to support the 4-H Douglas County Scholarship Fund.
