He was predeceased by : his mother Elsie Morton; his stepfather Bernard Morton; his father Harry Dinsmore; his stepmother Joan Dinsmore; and his daughter Dena Dinsmore Gabor.

He is survived by : his wife Deanna Dinsmore; his son David N. Dinsmore, Jr.; his grandchildren, David N. Dinsmore, III, Brandon Gabor, Ashley Gabor, Isabella Dinsmore and Brooklynn Dinsmore; and his siblings, Cathryn "Nan" Dinsmore Ellis (Mike), Melody Morton Vogelbach (Brett), Robert Dinsmore (Patty), Harry Dinsmore (Tina) and John Dinsmore (Kristin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
