He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kalar and Margaret Kalar. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Sue Rosenberg (Bergin); his siblings, Bill Kalar and Dovie Bertolucci; his children, Amy Kadlec and Jon Kalar (Julie); his stepsons, Jim Bergin (Jodi) and Forrest Bergin (Shelly); his grandchildren, Zachary Kadlec and Jenna Kalar; and his stepgrandchildren, Abrea Smith (Clark), JD Bergin and Brantley Smith.
As a result of David's dedication and hard work he was awarded the Thurston County Fair Lifetime Achievement award; an award to honor individuals who have demonstrated long-term dedication, service, and significant contributions to the fair and the community.
