He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloisa Mena Escamilla and Daniel Escamilla; his siblings, Oralia Escamilla Ester Escamilla and Manuel Escamilla; and his children, Gabriel Escamilla, Santos Escamilla and Sandra Escamilla.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Escamilla; and his children, Alex, Daniel Escamilla, Maria Elena Reed, Sonia Munoz, Cynthia Carmona and Nedra Sierra. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
